April 2005 article - When we can "let go and let God"
I was visiting your website again this morning. When I visited before and posted in your guestbook, I had not read the February 2005 article - A letter from Sheila Barlow. I read it this morning and just wanted to thank you for posting this as it will be a great encouragement for many. So many times in life we feel that we are not "good enough" or capable of doing things in this life, but this letter from Sheila is yet another example of how God will use us if we simply allow Him to. I know that there are many times throughout my walk that I have struggled with "I can't do this" thoughts, but when I have been able to set those thoughts aside and simply prayed, "Lord, I can't, but you can and I am a willing vessel," I am always blessed in the way in which the Lord will use me, knowing that I could only accomplish what I did in his strength.
I have been blessed this morning by reading Sheila's letter. I also wanted to let you know that I have recommended your website to my sister. She has always been so talented and her hearts desire has been to write books for children. She is currently taking a correspondence course in writing for children. She often feels that she can't do it as she struggles with the questions of how to get things published, how does one find an illustrator, etc... Sometimes the not knowing all the details is the one thing that can stop us in our tracks from completing the things that we have started, or it stops us cold from taking our ideas any further than the thought process.
When we can "let go and let God" there is no limit to what He can accomplish through us. I know that your site will be a blessing to my sister!
Have a blessed day!
Mangosteen: The Healing Fruit
I do not mind at all if you put my message on your website. In addition to my XanGo website, I also have a ministry website for prayer and encouragement. It is always so wonderful and encouraging when I get emails from visitors who have been blessed or encouraged from something they have read on the website. The site first went up in 1997 and has gone through many changes over the years. If you'd like to see it, it's at http://www.clarkhouse.net/PrayerWarriorsOnline.
