Hush My Heart

"But while he thought about these things,
behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying,
'Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife,
for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus,
for He will save His people from their sins.'"
- Matthew 1: 20, 21

"Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son,
and they shall call his name Emmanuel,
which being interpreted is, God with us."
 - Matthew 1:23

Hush, My Heart

Hush, my heart. It's Christmastime. Listen in stillness. Gaze upon God's incarnation long foretold. Behold God's Word made flesh. Reflect. Such humbleness. His glory laid aside, He comes to us named Jesus: Jehovah is salvation, and Emmanuel: God with us.
- Nancy Spiegelberg 'Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12
